Pranayama Mini Series
This is a four week series that focus on pranayama, the art of breathing: inhalation, exhalation and retention. Pranayama is the bridge between the more active work with the body done in asana and the quiet meditative aspect of yoga at its deepest layers. Pranayama requires both. In this class students will be led through a series of asanas designed to establish steadiness and openness that contribute to a quiet and attentive mind. A led savasana will follow and then details about proper support and alignment for both supine and sitting breath work.
The class is progressive and will depend and follow the student’s abilities and needs. Please plan to attend the first class. No drop in nor make up students are allowed. Pre-registration is required by July 9.
