Our studio, located in west Ann Arbor and serving Dexter and Saline, is dedicated to helping people experience the benefits of practicing yoga; of finding out how good they can feel, how much they can learn about themselves and how the practice can help them age gracefully. We have yoga classes for everybody: beginning, intermediate and experienced.  We accommodate young folks or older people, athletes, prenatal or people with special needs in such areas as backs or knees.  Our teachers are Certified in the Iyengar method or working toward certification, a tradition that focuses on precision of movement and attention to subtleties and individual students and focusing awareness inward.  Teachers have a minimum of 5 years study before being Certified. Our teachers excel at helping individual students within the context of a general class.  Special group lessons, designed just for your group or private lessons are also available.

Movie Night: Free, Friday, April 18  7:00 – 8:45 pm

Please join us for an evening movie, The Breath of the Gods, and learn more about the history of modern yoga. This is a film about the early 20th century Indian savant, T. Krishnamacharya, his teaching and how modern yoga has followed in his footsteps.

Free Class: Friday, April 25  6:00 – 7:00 pm

All are welcome to come. Come try out yoga or come to an extra class. This monthly Friday evening class is a great way to relax, finish off the week and get ready for the weekend.  If you are curious about yoga, come and discover how good you will feel at the end of class!

Yoga Is Not For Pretzels

Check out our weekly blog in the Dexter Patch here.  “I love these experiences that allow me to be a beginner again. It gives me an appreciation of what it’s like for the beginning students in my 6 PM Thursday night class at The Yoga Space.”
